Haiku Dedicated To A Cat Called Sunny!

My awesome, awesome god-mother asked me to write a haiku about her cat called Sunny, so I'll do a few, you can read them as one big poem or 4 short haiku's:

The cat is my friend
Beautiful orange golden
An actress, a diva

Glimmering gold with
Glowing face of summer stars
My dearest sweet cat

Orange zesty fur is
What she has to adorn her
Perfect feline head

Wet nose, green eyes, purr
In the morning, purr at night
Wander, waving tail

 WAM-POW! AND I'M BACK!
I bet I surprised you, didn't I.
See I'm awesome like that; I wait a billion, trillion, million, gazzilion years before posting another blog entry (note- sarcasm).
Anyway; if YOU are awesome then pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, please with a thousand billion cherries on top... follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/aishabaisha.

My (Our, It's Both Mine And Millie's Only On My Account) New Blog: Totally Booked

Instead of doing a book-review for Fearless (which I will do someday) I've decided to do a post on our new blog:

Me and Milly\Milla\Jamziez\Millie\Millee\Mili\... have started a blog called Totally Booked!
We took ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages choosing the name, at one point we called it... Forsaken YOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm laughing it's so funny!  Forsaken YOLO!
Funny is a weird word... Fun-Ny Funny Funn-Y Funn-E... I am so totally random!
Anyway we're gonna change the name again...
So don't worry if this link to the blog doesn't work, I'll change it.
Totally Booked is about books, writing, words, children's-books, YA (Young Adult), fiction, novels... The list goes on and on and...
If you comment on one of the intro's we've already done, we will read the book, and can do a book review on it.
The books we accept have to be YA, children's and books alright for people 13 and below.
Please check Totally Booked out and have a great half-term!
Bye!

Diary Entry For 16-2-2014 (Sunday, Free!)!

Okay, so... This is a diary entry, I did for today.
BTW I will try to write and post chapter two of Riders Of Termná'c but be prepared for a wait!
Here is the entry:

 16-2-2014 Suday
Free!

Today's Sunday so we're... Free!
I did all of my Duolingo (language learning) and started re-reading A Street Cat Named Bob.
I also read a paragraph of A Confusion Of Princes to Mum and Jamila, the one that was the reason I stopped reading it.
Then  our drum-kit teacher came and we had stew with dumplings. I read a lot...
I read that part of A Confusion Of Princes to him (our drum-kit teacher), then he went home after a messed-up attempt at the cup part of The Cup Song.
Then (Here is an embarrassing line so I cut it out, this is copied and edited from my diary), now I am writing this, hopefully we can watch a movie called Holes after I do a blog entry on Fearless.

Bye,
Nadia

Riders Of Termná'c: Chapter 1: Sartheya

Riders Of Termná'c

Chapter 1: Sartheya

Narrated by: Omniscient

By Nadia Aisha

Mundee 1-1-3000 (New Years Dee) Time: 03:00:01 a.m. (ante meridiem - Latin)

My name is Sartheya... Typical start to a dee'rey entry...
J'ihn gave me this dee'rey for Winter Und...
Me, J'ihn, Cissie, Finlo an' Puzu stayed up to watch the celebratory gun-shots for New Years Dee...
Everyone did...
Everyone except the dead bodies in there graves...
Now stop being so grim Sartheya!
But then again war is grim...
Hopefully (very hopefully) happiness will come with the new century...

Sartheya tucks her dee'ray away and try to fall asleep, she could feel the hard ground underneath her sleeping-bag and can hear Finlo and Cissies alternate snoring.
The last time she slept out in the open was on a camping trip with her parents, before the war
But now she was the second in command for War Sector 3 and life was... different.

2hrs later:

"RISE 'N' SHINE!"

Sartheya longed to roll over and fall back asleep, but she was second in command so, she had to set a good example.
She got up and started melding into the early din.
Her and her best friends; J'ihn, Puzu, Cissie and Finlo, all slept in a tight huddle to ward of the cold and just so that friends could be near each other.
Other huddles like this were dotted around War Sector 3 (WS3).
Puzu was currently trying to wake up his sister, Cissie, who was a rather heavy sleeper.

She looked at her wrist-clock it showed 5:03:02.
Typical, thought Sartheya, 2hrs sleep, to Sartheya it felt like 2 minutes.

"I'm gonna wake the others" Sartheya said gesturing to the other groups near them in WS3.
The others nodded in reply.

She went round tapping on shoulders and slapping in faces with the call of:
"RISE 'N' SHINE!"

Sartheya and the others went and joined the queue for the measly broth and hunk of stale bread the people of Termná'c had to cope with.

Suddenly there was a cry of "Dragon Lord Approaching! Repeat: Dragon Lord Approaching! REAPEAT: DRAGON LORD APPROACHING!"

End Of Chapter 1!

An Update Coming Through!!

Hi!

I'm going to post a story on my blog, only I'm going to post it chapter by chapter with links the previous    and next chapters.
It's set in the future (year 3000), in a war-zone, the main-characters name is Sartheya.
It starts of sounding very war-ish and typical, but, I'm going to create it out of my love for good dragons and magic, so....
Be prepared!

First post is coming up today!!!

Eragon Shade Slayers Feats

Hi everyone!

This is a poem I did based on the book Eldest which I recently re-read.
If you plan to read the series (Inheritance Cycle) DO NOT READ THIS!SPOILER!!REPEAT:DO NOT READ THIS!SPOILER!!REPEAT:DO NOT READ THIS!SPOILER!!SPOILER!!REPEAT:DO NOT READ THIS!SPOILER!!

This is a terrible poem: most of it does not rhyme!
It's alright because I'm terrible at poems; so this is my best...
Eragons Dragon, Sapphire

Murtaghs Dragon, Thorn
Here is the poem:

Eragon Shade Slayers Feats

Eragon took Brom his almost fathers sword won from evil foe,
Morzan was his name,
He went to learn from Elven master who rode a golden dragon,
While white raven sang a riddle and crowed a rhyme with the word "wagon",
Then at the celebration of Blood-Oaths to dragons,
They gave him gifts of strength and stealth.

Then Eragon left his training,
Rode on a Sapphire dragon,
To fight and win a war with kin,
Of dwarfs and a mighty dragon.

Then came the cry of "a ship is sighted"!
And Eragon went,
To find his cousin brave,
Who sailed the ocean wide to find the Varden,
To help his almost bride.

Then a dragon rode into sight,
"It's red! It can't be the evil king; another egg has hatched!"
A flash of red came from the hand of a rider who came across the land,
And slayed the king of dwarfs,
And Hrothgars people sighed.

Eragon enraged,
Stormed across the land,
And fought the foe,
As his cousin killed two traitors,
As swift as a young doe.

But the evil man was strengthened by enchantments black,
So Eragon said "Land Sapphire I fight him on the ground",
And as they fought,
Eragon said "We've fought before!"
He tore the helmet of foe to find his friend,
"Oh Murtagh! You've turned! While I mourned for you, you were with our common enemy!"
And Murtagh replied "When Thorn was born, Galbatorix made us swear an oath of faith!"

Eragon lunged for the killing stroke,
But Murtagh stopped him with one word of ancient language,
And Eragon exclaimed as Sapphire was caught in air,
Unable to free himself or her.

Then Murtagh came and said "My friend, Galbatorix told me try to get you; and I have!"
But before he left he took Zar'roc from the belt of Beloth the Wise and said;
"Dad's sword was destined for his eldest son, my mothers name was Selena we share a common father!"
"Morzan, my father?"
Then with the mighty sword away his brother rode.

But as Eragon went to tell his friends the outcome of the fight,
He said to Sapphire, by his side,
"My uncle Garrow, Brom, and our Master Oromis were more my fathers then that lying thief!"
"You've grown wise little one!" Sapphire proclaimed

Then Eragon went to have talk with cousin angry and enraged,
He scried his cousins love,
And said "Together we will find and free Katrina... Brother?"

So here ends our tale of love and life of sorrows bound and betrayals many of friends and foe of dragons and boats sailing low.

Skating and Serendipity

(5/1/2014 Sunday)

Today like everyone else we went to the Somerset Ice-skating rink, open in winter!
We (me and my sis (Our Dad was taking us); Milla) were going with our two cousins, Sha & Mandy.
Those aren't there real names but as this is public I shall put there nick-names.
We were supposed to wake up at 9:00 so that we could take our time getting ready and there arrive really early, but, unfortunately (it turned out fine in the end) I was woken up to Mum saying: "Shoot! It's ten!" (We sleep in the same room (not that our house is so small that we can't have our room, I'll post about that later.))

That's not the best way to start your day if you're me (I take 1hr in the shower).
I sneakily said to mum and dad "Can I not shower?"
They said yes! Happy Dancing!

Skating Part:

So we got there.
And Sha was already there.
We gave Dad our  bags.
And Mandy's ticket as she hadn't arrived.
We queued for our skates.
We got our skates.
We put our skates on by the time Mandy had hers.
We all got on the ice at the same time (well I eagerly stepped on first).
(Random Comment: Hello YuzBuz; my most devoted follower; I hope you are reading this!)
I fell 'cos I forgot Ice-Skates don't have breaks.
We skated round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round.
We posed for photos.
I tightened my skate-laces.
We skated round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round.
We posed for photos.
We skated round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round.

The rest of our the Skating Part continued in this same way.

will be coming soon along with photos!!

My First Cubs Camp (2012)

My First Cub Camp

Friday 25\5\2012

Leaving

I am\was very excited; this is my first cub camp and luckily my friends are going too.
On the way there I sat next to friends.
Also the van we were in broke down when (I think) we were still on the highway and we had to wait till the police came, they stopped the traffic and helped pull us to this place where there were lots of police cars and we had to wait at least an hour  before another van came to take us to the camp site.

Arriving

When we finally got there our tents had already been put up and we ate pasta.

First Night

I wasn't that sad of having no mum near me and I had my toy panther so I slept quite well, though I woke up once to hear my friends snoring!

Saturday 26\5\2012

First Morning

We got dressed without showering then had our breakfast.

Early Day

That day we did fires and we were bad at that.

Later on

  1. Rock climbing (some one's hat was put on top of the structor and they had to climb up to get it down).
  2. Fun thing like sledging. We used these wooden things that we sat in and there were paths with bumps on them and when the sledges were released we'd go whooshing down the paths.
  3. Shower and reading.

Afternoon

There was a big campfire for all scouts at the campsite and we sung camp-song led by three different men. I wanted my family.

Sunday 26\5\2012

We built rafts in groups of four and sale them on a lake and swam in the lake and my groups one was the only one that didn't fall apart. We went home that day.

Crouch End Fun Run on the 19th of May

A FEW months ago me and my sister took part in the Crouch End Fun Run, which is a race anyone can take part in except you have to sign up in advance.
When I told someone about it the thought I had said "Crouch And Fun Run" instead of the place Crouch End along with the words Fun Run.
You also get this really cool letter, that makes you feel important, in it is your race number and, a thing to put on your shoe that records the time you took you to do the race in (I took 9mins; ? seconds.).
My dad gave me comprehension about the information in the letter (if I find them and get enough comments asking me I'll post the questions and answers, I will).
The race is every year, I have done it once before, look it up.
I don't know what to write...

Anyway; after the race you get a drink, a bottle of water, a shirt saying Crouch End Fun Run on it, a jam doughnut (I don't like jam so my sister ate my doughnut) and first of all a medal (everyone gets a medal), Jamziez (a nick-name for my sister) knew one of the people who handed out the medals, from her swimming class.
At the race I met someone I know from cubs (scouts for younger kids), they looked very stressed:)
The race was really hard even though I had practiced before, I think that the reason why it was so hard running was because of my asthma:(

So thats all really...

Annoying sentence for children below.

Have you ever done a race? Was it hard? Post in the comments below!
*****************************************

I mean like sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really sorry about not posting a post when I said I would:( I have neglected my blog for more than 6 months!!!! Has anybody used the rendang recipe? I doubt it... Anyway I did a race about 6 months ago and now I have going to post a dairy entry about it on this blog...

Poker Comprehension

Hello, a long time ago (last year?) my dad gave me some comprehension on an article about poker.

Why don't you try answering the questions yourself?

Here are the questions:

1. Why is it important to be expressionless when playing poker?

2. What were the three types of video clip shown to the study participants?

3. Explain the difference between positive, negative and neutral/no correlation. If necessary use encyclopaedia or children's online dictionary.

4. What did people notice about the way the players moved their hands that gave away whether the player was confident; or not?

Here are my answers:

  1. So that people can not guess that value of your cards.
  2. The first kind was of the table up, the second kind was of the face and the third of the of only the hands and arms.
  3. Don't know, will ask dad later.
  4. If you moved your hands smoothly forward without hesitating it means that you have a good hand\cards.

Rendang for Both Vegetarians and Carnivores

Yummy Rendang Recipe\Diary Entry

Today (5\3\2013) my mum taught how to make rendang
But, before I tell you how to make it, you have to know what it is: it is a slow cooked curry\stew (about 4-3hrs),  a

"traditional dish of West Sumatra. It was probably developed out of the need to preserve the meat from a newly killed buffalo for as long as possible in a tropical climate with no refrigerators.
The meat was cut into chunky cubes, then boiled in large pots, not in water, but in spiced coconut milk, which slowly penetrated the meat and incidentally gave it a delicious flavour.
Rendang is traditionally eaten with sticky rice cooked in coconut milk, or with lemang, the same sticky rice but cooked in a bamboo segment. It is just as good, however, with plain boiled rice."

Of course you don't need to use buffalo! Instead use cow or chicken (which cooks faster) and if your a vegetarian use jack fruit.

Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

  1. 500g beef, two *chicken breasts, or two cans green of **jack fruit.
  2.  Twelve shallots
  3. Two onions
  4. 2inches\4cm Galanggal
  5. 1inch\2cm Ginger
  6.  Three stems lemon grass
  7. Two cloves of garlic
  8.  Tons of coconut cream/milk
  9.  A teaspoon and a half of brown sugar
  10.  Something sour \ lemon \ tamarind (asam jawa) or asam keping
  11. Mums version has a ton of red chillies
  12.  Salt according taste

How:

First cut up the shallots and onions to a fair size then blender-ise them along with the red chilies, garlic, galanggal and ginger. Then place the all the things that you had put in the blender, in a wok along with enough oil to cover the contents and more. Wash the meat or chicken or drain the jack fruit. Cut the meat roughly into cubes and add them along with the the rest of the ingredients and salt. Alternate in between reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and stirring the rendang for 3-4hrs. The meat fries in the coconut cream while everything is evaporated.

Serve hot with warm rice... Enjoy

*This cooks faster

**For the vegetarians

A Story I Did While I Was Bored

"Hey how're ya' all feelin'? up ta' fun?" Said my best pall Jonathan Josiph Jolliparton but who liked to get called 'Juds'  which I think is really weardo-so but, thats just him! Any way he was talking to me and my 'gang' who were basiclly my bestest friends well there were 5 of us including him and me and we called our selfs 'Weirdo One 5' and the name suits it self (well it IS wierd). One of my other friends Janis Horph Watlam (but want's to get called Jnodo because she onece met a really girly girly-girl who was called Janis) said " Sure, we're 'll fine I thin', so what shall we do?"
"Well maybe we should go to the forest and jump over the stream and I saw some deer hoof-prints that we can try to find okay" I said which reminds me to tell me you my name which is Patilian Porph Smith but I like to get called Liana because it is a nice name (of course)!

If there is anyone still looking at my blog, please can give tips in comments about what should happen next in the story. It is very bad 'cause I made it up on the spot sometime in 2012. I have made a few corrections and added bits in but please tell me is there are any spelling errors..!

P.S. Sorry about all the slang-ish things\words.

Petrie Plates\Growing Bacteria Updated

I am putting some pictures on (there are a ton) and I hope that if you have done some your Plates have sprouted things as well as Printer Thing and Kitchen Window. I think that the reason why Toilet Door Handle was the worst is because people have just washed there hands before the leave, for Kitchen Floor maybe the floor had just been mopped! Well don't really know what to write, here are the pictures:

Petri Plates\Growing Bacteria Experiment

There are two kinds of my entry, the top one is slangish (Yo bro, innit fun, wassup!, innit blood) and the bottom
one is more what my Dads expectation is.

A longish time ago I want'ed t' do an experiment but it took ages to find one and when Dad finally did I had to nag him for ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages since like the 6th until we finally got round to doing it. We have started doing the Homemade Petri Plates experiment but I don't know whether we have done it well so far. Well basically the experiment is making bacteria grow so you can see it.

You do this mixture of a stock cube, plain gelatine or agar agar, water and sugar and put it at the bottom of disposable containers put it in the fridge or somethin' and well after an age take it out and rub the um... bacteria on and wait another age until you can see the bacteria and... ya.  Just in case you do, don't try this recipe because I was tired and definitely got some of the things wrong so these are two websites that definitely got it right:
 http://kitchenpantryscientist.com/?p=931 and http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/experiments/breedingbacteria.html

---

COOKIES

On Monday (GUY FAWKES DAY 2012) I went to my sisters and my friends house she gave me a Jacqueline Wilson official mag which has lots of extras witch include an extra magazine with lots of recipes we (which means my sister and I) cooked a basic cookie mix with melted chocolate in the shape of a muddy paw print. We did two batches the first had 90% cocoa chocolate (but my sister added some sugar) the second batch had chili chocolate but most of the cookies went without chocolate. I did a few biscuits with faces insted of paw-prints. To make the paw prints you used the ball of your thumb as the big paw pad and you use the back of your wooden spoon for the (I wrote 'I dont k' but erased it) small bits so basically you make the holes using those things put in oven to bake for about fifteen minutes. If ready take out then do press the holes again this time instead of putting your thumb use the back of a teaspoon then use some chocolate to drip in the holes.

This has been in drafts for an age!

Sushi: 'mmmmmm'

Today me my mum and sister decided to make sushi, well actually we decided to make a few days ago so we got the ingredients and made it today. Do you like Sushi, well I do :) Soon after we woke up we started cooking the rice, I had to shower which was kind of good because I did not have to wait for the boring bits to be done while mum nagged me :) When I had finally gotten out of the shower most of the things were ready except the salmon, tuna, carrot and (or?) seaweed. I cut the salmon and carrot, put the mayonnaise in the tuna and for fun made ridges in the cucumber. The two things that my sister (J Milly) and mum (Z\Zed) found\looked for while I was in the shower are seaweed and the sushi mat. I liked salmon and tuna topping-ed sushi more than the chicken flavoured ones.  What sushi do you like? I am writing this like an email aren't I? J Milly is awesome at making sushi but my Mum is better.
